The First Ladies of Sports
Alright all you sports girls, my name is Jen and I'm a Bostonian and PROUD!!! I have an intense love for the Red Sox and an intense hate for the Yankees as well. I believe Tom Brady will be my future husband. (Well not really, but every girl in Boston believes that!) I LOVEE MY BOSTON TEAMS, BEHIND THEM ALL THE WAY!!! you are jealous =)
Hey everyone! I hadn't noticed people had joined as I was going to wait until summer to start to promote but I'm so glad to have you all here. I still have a lot of work to do, but if any of you have any ideas for the community or where to promote the community I'd be very interested.
I suppose I should introduce myself as well, as for the most part I'm just like any other member.
I'm Birdy, and my love for sports was born from my life-long adoration of the Washington Redskins. I have been raised my whole life as a Redskins fan and love my team very much. I've never been to a Skins game and it is one of my life aspirations to do so soon. I have been known to watch baseball and soccer as well but to a lesser degree. And be warned, I have a bit of a thing for the Hurricanes as many good Redskins have come from that program.
That's me in a nutshell, no need to bore y'all.
If you ever need to contact me, or want to make a comment or something feel totally free to do so, I'd love to hear from you guys.

I think you girls might like this:
"Love the game. Love the game for the pure joy of accomplishment. Love the game for everything it can teach you about yourself. Love the game for the feeling of belonging to a group endeavoring to do its best. Love the game for being involved in a team whose members can't wait to see you do your best. Love the game for the challenge of working harder than you ever have at something and then harder than that. Love the game because it takes all team members to give it life. Love the game because at its best, the game tradition will include your contributions. Love the game because you belong to a long line of fine athletes who have loved it. It is now your legacy. Love the game so much that you will pass on your love of the game to another athlete who has seen your dedication, your work, your challenges, your triumphs... and then that athlete will, because of you, love the game." -Anonymous
For me this is all about lacrosse. It relates to perfectly to how I feel about the game, it's uncanny. We had our first game of the season today, and we won... by a lot. Our coach had everyone make 15 consecutive passes before we could shoot, just out of good sportsmanship. How is everyone elses seasons going?
Hey, I see this is a new community and thought what the hell, I might as well join. I hope it grows! I'll try and promote as much as needed.
Anyways, as an intro post, I am from Chicago but go to school in Western Massachussetts. I love hockey, baseball, and soccer. While I have favorite major league hockey and baseball teams I don't follow major league soccer as much (although my icon is from a Mexican soccer team). I don't really like basketball or football, but I can appreciate it.
Soooo, that's me.

Welcome to Game-day Girls, a community for females who love sports.
I'm the creator and mod, and I'll be starting up this community eventually. For now, feel free to post and talk, but I'll start advertising a bit later.
So, be sure to read the rules and have fun!
